Fordingbridge Astronomers

Fordingbridge Astronomers are a group of very friendly amateur astronomers of all abilities, ages and knowledge levels, who meet regularly to share their enjoyment of astronomy.

We have regular indoor monthly meetings where we can have amateur or professional speakers presenting a subject or we can have discussions on equipment or up to date astronomical news topics.

We also have regular and some impromptu outside observation sessions, covering all the celestial bodies you can see (and some you can't!), including the likes of planets, binary stars, clusters, galaxies and many more. There are usually a few telescopes and binoculars available - or you can bring your own.

Astronomy is a subject that everyone can enjoy, whether you are a professor of science or have never looked up. We have a few very knowledgeable members who can lead you through and explain the maze of terms. Prepare to be astounded, amazed and awestruck.

We welcome all interested people, especially newcomers to the hobby, to any of our meetings or observing sessions to learn about and explore everything in the sky above us.

Interested? Then why not join us. The first meeting is free!
